Growth in Mind Psychology

Peta, a Psychologist in Brisbane, is focussed on helping clients grow in the aspects of their life that are currently important and impactful to them. Personal growth varies across the lifespan and can be particularly poignant during transition phases such as starting school, moving into adolescence, early adulthood and navigating parenting. ​ I have a particular interest in working with children and adolescents and their families, young adults, parents and perinatal clients and young people with Scoliosis. In addition to counselling, I am experienced and interested in Psycho-educational Assessment. Prior to moving into private practice, I worked extensively as a Psychologist in Brisbane in both the primary and secondary school setting and in early intervention health settings. I use a number of therapeutic techniques including: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), solution focussed therapy (SFT), circle of security (COS) attachment focused therapy, zones of regulation, growth mindset/ resilience focused skill development and mindfulness.

Clare A Keogh OT

I am a multiply neurodivergent occupational therapist. I carry clinical knowledge (Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice) grounded in my lived experience (my neurotypes include Autism, ADHD, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, and Dandy-Walker Syndrome). I have over five years of experience supporting neurodivergent families in Melbourne (Naarm/ Birrarung-ga)'s western suburbs, from Kelior in the north-west to Point Cook in the south-west, and Rockbank in the outer west inwards to Port Melbourne. In my practice, I consciously choose to provide direct support to the family as a whole, not “just” the child or young person in need of immediate support. This looks different for different families. Outside of work, I am a dog mum, a nature explorer, music lover and creative thinker.

Talking Matters

Talking Matters is based in the Northern and Southern suburbs, with a clinic location at Elizabeth Downs and Christie Downs. Talking Matters has been supporting South Australian children, families and education settings since 2006, providing speech pathology and occupational therapy services to more than 700 children each fortnight across over 80 schools. This project reflects our commitment to collaborative, preventative and evidence-informed practice that builds capability within communities while improving outcomes for children.

We are developmental OTs as well as mental health endorsed OTs. We support the young people we work with to thrive both physically and mentally as we believe we can’t separate the two! We have a lot of experience in supporting children with emotional regulation as well as increasing resilience and stress tolerance to reduce the anxiety response. Elevate Allied Health Services

We are a Melbourne-based speech pathology service supporting early intervention for young children, school-aged children, and adolescents and adults across home, community, school, clinic and day-service settings. Our approach is neuroaffirming, person-led and focused on each individual’s communication strengths, preferences and goals. Services include assessment and intervention for speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing needs. We also support people who use augmentative and alternative communication, including communication devices, visual supports and other assistive technology. Therapy may include individual intervention, functional communication programs, mealtime support, communication partner training and capacity building for families, educators, support workers and broader care teams. We work collaboratively to develop practical strategies that improve communication access, participation, autonomy and quality of life across everyday environments.

We provide speech pathology and occupational therapy services to children 0-16yrs in our clinic. We provide a best practice approach to early intervention supporting families and caregivers to feel empowered with the skills to create change at home; and support our older clients with functional daily life skills. We can also offer education, training and support to childcare, preschool or school to help with understanding your child's needs and the right accommodations to boost participation and engagement.
